Mignon sings mostly as a soloist in Opera, - Operette and Music Theatre Productions. She sang roles such as Belinda (Dido and Aeneas – H. Purcell), and Eurydice (l’ Orfeo - C. Monteverdi). Recently she was to be heard as Mopsa in Le jugement De Midas of E. Grétry and as Zerlina in the opera Fra Diavolo van C. Aubert, produced by ‘Stichting Intermezzo/ Opera Nijetrijne’. Last year she sang the role of Adina in G. Donizetti’s L’ Elisir d’ Amore; the role of Jennie in Down in the Valley by K. Weill and Laura in Der Bettelstudent by C. Millöcker. At the moment she works as a freelancer in the Choir of 'De Nationale Reisopera' (Dutch National Touring Opera). As a soloist she has concerts with Opera and Operetta 'St. Belcanto' and with ‘Trio Dame Blanche’ and ‘Lenya Trio’. She also sings at 'Stichting Residentie Bach Ensembles' and she is associated with 'Stichting Youth Opera! / Buffo Opera makers', where she participated among other things in the project ‘Water’ during festival ‘Tweetakt’ and in the 3-minutes opera ’Maar het is er nog niet’ during the ‘Culturele Zondagen’ in Utrecht. Mignon has taken part in several master classes, for example by Udo Reinemann, Margreet Honig, Adriaan de Wit, Peter Kooij and Roberta Alexander, and others. She has sung, both as a solo singer as well as in ensembles, under conductors such as Kenneth Montgomery, Bas Pollard, Otto Tausk, Jan Willem de Vriend and Jos Vermunt. Her Oratorium repertoire consists of cantatas and the Matthäus, - Johannes, - and Markus - Passions of J.S. Bach, soprano solos in cantatas and Messiah by G.F. Händel, Masses by F. Schubert and Elias by Mendelsohn- Bartholdy. In 2002 she sang the soprano part of the Notturni by W.A. Mozart for soprano, alto, bass, clarinet and basset-horns, performed in Music Centre Vredenburg at Utrecht. In 2004 she sang the soprano part in Israel in Egypt by G.F. Händel, performed during the 40th Edition of the Kurt Thomas Course, under Daan Admiraal and Erik van Nevel. In 2005 she sang the soprano solo in Pulcinella by I. Stravinsky, conducted by Lev Markiz and performed in the big hall of the Music Centre Vredenburg, Utrecht. |
